The cent account calculator converts dollars to cents and cent lots to standard lots, and shows the real pip value. Use it to see what a trade on a cent account actually costs and to move EA or strategy settings from a standard account.

How a cent account works

On a cent account the balance is shown in cents (USC): $10 becomes 1,000 USC. The lot is a cent lot — 100 times smaller than a standard one: 1 cent lot = 1,000 units instead of 100,000. So the numbers in the terminal are the same as on a standard account, just in cents: a pip of 1 cent lot on EUR/USD is 10 cents, not $10.

How to use the calculator

  1. Deposit, $ — the real dollars you fund.
  2. Cent account lot — the size you enter in the terminal.
  3. Instrument — it sets the pip value.

On the right: balance in cents, the standard-lot equivalent, pip value in cents and dollars, position size in units and the cost of a 30-pip stop.

Example

$10 deposit → 1,000 USC. Lot 0.1 on a cent account = 0.001 standard lot (€100). A EUR/USD pip is 1 cent ($0.01), a 30-pip stop is 30 cents — 3% of the deposit.

Conversion table

Cent lot Standard lot Units EUR/USD pip
0.01 0.0001 10 0.1 ¢ ($0.001)
0.1 0.001 100 1 ¢ ($0.01)
1 0.01 1,000 10 ¢ ($0.10)
10 0.1 10,000 $1

Why use a cent account

  • Small balance, proper risk. On a $100 standard account the minimum 0.01 lot with a 30-pip stop is 3% risk. On a cent account you can risk 0.5–1% and follow the rules.
  • Testing an EA on the live market. Real execution, spread and slippage for pennies — more honest than a demo.
  • Psychology. Real money but small amounts — a good step from demo to a standard account.

Not every broker offers cent accounts — compare conditions in the broker rating.

Risk-based lot on a cent account

In the lot size calculator choose USC as the account currency and enter the balance in cents — the answer comes in cent lots. Below are strategies and EAs we tested, including for small deposits.

FAQ

How much is 1 cent lot?

1 cent lot = 0.01 standard lot = 1,000 units of the base currency. A EUR/USD pip at that size is 10 cents.

How do I convert cents to dollars?

Divide by 100: 5,000 USC = $50.

Can I run the same EA on a cent account?

Yes. The EA’s lot settings stay the same, while the real dollar risk becomes 100 times smaller.

What leverage do cent accounts have?

Usually the same as standard accounts, up to 1:1000 at many brokers. Margin is calculated in cents the same way as in dollars on a standard account.
